The Academy of Continuing Legal Education presents a seminar May 8 - 9, 2008, Thursday and Friday. Classes applied for 14 hours of CLE credit will be presented, including "Election Law Update", by Erick Gale, Esq., and Brian Green, Esq., Election Law Counsel, Ohio Secretary of State; "Ohio Elections Commission Jurisdiction and Procedure", by Phillip Richter, Esq., executive director of Ohio Elections Commission, "Criminal Penalties and Procedures in Election Law", by Dominic Coletta, Esq., Synenberg & Associates LLC; "Ethics in Election Law", by Brian Shinn, Esq., Election Law counsel, Secretary of State, former assistant Disciplinary Counsel; "Election Contests" presented by Joel F. Sacco, Esq.; "Election Law Litigation in the State Court", by Denise L. Smith, Esq., chief of civil division, Portage County Prosecuting Attorney; "Ohio Election Law Litigation in the Federal Court", by Richard Coglianese, Esq., assistant Ohio Attorney General; and "The Attorney as Public Official", presented by Peter Lawson Jones, Esq., Cuyahoga County Commissioner and former member of Ohio House of Representatives. The seminar location is The Richfield Conference Center, at the Quality Inn, Richfield, Ohio, on Route 21 immediately south of the Ohio Turnpike exchange with Interstate Route 77.
Price for the fourteen hours of CLE is $420.00, being $30.00 per credit hour. A discounted price of $350.00 is available for attorneys representing governments and non-profits, and for members of the Academy of CLE. The Quality Inn has made a limited number of rooms available at a group rate. These rooms may be reserved by calling (330) 659-6151 and indicating "A. C. L. E. May Seminar" group.
